"Waterworks" is an on-going series which explores the reflective quality of water and its ability to change colour. Within the series are sub-series: Sunset Minis, Icescapes and Water's Edge.
I love being at the cottage and spending time near the lake. I am mesmerized by the changing nature of the water and vista. The colours of the sky and water and their reflection on their surroundings has captured my soul and my canvas.
My current process of pouring mimics and creates the sensation of movement, reflection and colour.
Texture is built up, imagery is painted, paint is poured.
The result is a work which meanders between realism and abstraction.
